The sensor’s small LCD screen displays temperature information on its left side, and humidity data on the right side; the user can choose between Fahrenheit or Celsius readings. With alkaline batteries installed, the sensor can assess outdoor temperatures ranging from -4 to +158 degrees F. Opt for lithium batteries in colder climates to measure outdoor temperatures from -38 to +158 degrees F. For indoor and outdoor humidity analysis, the sensor has a humidity range of 25 to 90 percent. To ensure the most accurate readings, mount the sensor in a well-ventilated location out of direct sunlight or rain, and at least 5 feet above the ground or roof. Avoid placing the sensor over asphalt or concrete, and do not wall-mount close to heat or air condition units, fans, and exhaust vents. The sensor requires the separate purchase of two AA batteries to operate. A limited one-year warranty covers this item. The sensor measures 2-2/5 inches wide by 1 inch deep by 4 inches high and weighs 1 pound upon shipping.

The outdoor temperature range with lithium batteries is -38-degree Fahrenheit to 158-degree Fahrenheit (-38.8-degree Celsius to 70-degree Celsius). While using alkaline batteries the temperature range is -4-degree Fahrenheit to 158-degree Fahrenheit (-20-degree Celsius to 70-degree Celsius). It features three user-selectable transmission channels and has a remote transmission range of up to 100-feet (30-meters). The indoor and outdoor humidity range is from 25% to 90%.
